Natural Morning Sickness Remedies
Diet
The following diet suggestions may help relieve morning sickness:
·Eat frequent smaller meals, so that you are never too hungry or too full at one time
·Avoid fatty or fried foods
·Keep crackers, bread or toast, cereal, or other bland foods handy. Try eating a few crackers before getting out of bed in the morning.
·Identify any triggers and avoid them
·Make sure you are drinking enough fluids, especially if you have been vomiting. Try drinking in between meals rather than with meals, which some women find helpful.
Acupressure
Acupressure wrist bands, often marketed as "sea bands", stimulate an acupuncture point called "pericardium 6" (HP6), which is known in traditional Chinese medicine to relieve nausea.
You can also apply pressure to the point manually, pressing the point firmly when you breathe out, releasing the pressure when you breath in, repeating 8 to 20 times on each wrist. The same technique can be applied to point TW5
Points to relieve nausea
HP 6 - Inner Gate
Palm side of the hand, three finger widths above the wrist crease in the middle of the arm. Place thumb in the slight hollow between the two bones
TW5 - Outer Gate
Three finger widths above the wrist crease on the outside of the hand.

Ginger
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a common remedy for morning sickness whether it be ginger biscuits, or root of ginger steeped in hot water.
Peppermint Essential Oil
The aroma of peppermint can help a queasy stomach. Fill a large bowl with hot water. Place two drops of peppermint essential oil in the bowl and place it on a table near your bed. Make sure it is in a safe area so there is no risk of it being knocked over. Or use an aromatherapy diffuser, which can be purchased at some health food stores.
Alternatively to a bowl of water, add a few drops of oil to a handkerchief by the bed, other essential oils you can try in the same way are spearmint, ginger, bergamot and lavender.
Do Not Overdose on the use of Ginger or Peppermint as they may make you more nauseous!
